The source images were produced by the Digitisation department of the Basel University Library under the direction of Elias Kreyenbühl.
Modelling and processing of the data was carried out by the project team (led by Susanna Burghartz) and Eric Lars Decker (Department of History and European Institute of the University of Basel), as well as Data Futures GmbH (led by Peter Cornwall, who also created and processed the iiif manifests). Anna Reimann carried out essential preparatory work in the preliminary project.
The automated pre-segmentation of the pages was developed and performed by Eric Decker, Niroshan Vijayarasa, Edoardo Hölzl and Henry Decléty; the manual segmentation building on the pre-segmentation was carried out by Lars Dickmann, Lars Kury, Anna Reimann, Alexander Engel, Ina Serif, Eric Lars Decker, Janine Buser, Tim Buser and Rael Probst.
This website, and the database search functionality in particluar, was created in cooperation with Sorin Marti (Rise and Institute for European Global Studies, University of Basel), who developed and fitted NDR-Core, on which the website and database search is build.
The R-package was developed and published by Anna Reimann, Alexander Engel, Ina Serif, and Lard Dickmann, under the guidance of Matthias Bannert as data scientist.
