Has led the project since 2018.
Works on the publishing family of the Avisblatt, its economic context in early capitalist Basel, and those elements that made the Avisblatt an institution of the city's memory.

Lars Dickmann, M.A.
Research assistant, lecturer in the history department, doctoral student at the University of Heidelberg since 10/2023.
Works on lost property in the Avisblatt. Master's thesis: "Topographies of the Lost. On the practice of losing and finding in the Basler Avisblatt, 1729-1844" (completed 2022).

Alexander Engel, Prof. Dr.
Research associate of the project (2020-23); since 10/2023 interim professor at LMU Munich.
Works on the labour, real estate, and credit markets as well as lotteries and the price lists in the Avisblatt. He looks at the purchasing power and living standards of Basel households in economic up- and downturns, and the resulting patterns of use of the Avisblatt.

Anna Reimann, M.A.
Doctoral Candidate (BGSH), Lecturer Dept. of History
Works on things in the Avisblatt. Dissertation: "Eine Zeitung voll von Dingen. Warenwelten im Basler Avisblatt, 1729-1844" (ongoing).

Ina Serif, Dr.
Associate member of the project (2019-23), Division Assistant for Digital and Pre-Modern History at the Department of History, University of Basel.
Works on the book advertisements and church seats in the Avisblatt; uses the data material and the tools developed in the project to test further digital tools in the field of digital history.

Supported the project conceptually from the beginning and organised the essential workflows.
